Terms of Service
Viking Scoops is an independently owned and operated business (“us” “we” or “our”) that provides pet-waste removal services to residential and commercial properties. You (client) agree to the following terms of service (“Terms”) that govern the sales and services provided by us (“Services”).
As the client, you are responsible for maintaining safe access into and out of the yard (if we are unable to clean due to access, you will be charged for that cleanup), immediate notification of any changes in the number of pets and prompt payment of balances due.
If for any reason your pet(s) will not be using the yard for a certain period (i.e. vacation, illness, etc.) and you do not wish to be charged for an unnecessary visit(s), please let us know in advance to pause the service.
We assume no liabilities for damages to yards, gates, pets or other properties.
The client understands our ability to provide the Service can be dependent on the weather, condition of the grass height, access to your yard which is your responsibility, and other unknown outside influences.
By initiating service, both parties agree to the above terms and responsibilities.
DOG WASTE REMOVAL SERVICE
Viking Scoops offers residential and commercial pet waste removal services. These services include One Time Clean, Weekly Cleaning, Every Other Week Cleaning, and Seasonal Cleaning. All pricing is based on an area size of a 1/4 acre. We service 1/2 acre and under.
ACCESSING YOUR YARD
The Client understands that if our Viking Scoops technician can’t access the area, a fee will still be applied to your account. For the next weeks scoop will have additional waste to pick up. Access includes, unlocked gates, and dog free yards. If you need a locked gate, please arrange a key or combination lock with us to ensure we don’t miss any scoops.
WEATHER
Viking Scoops will work through the rain and cold as long as, we can safely do so. Inclement weather may make it hazardous or impossible to make a scheduled cleanup. In this event, we will be responsible for servicing your yard as soon as possible. The customer understands we cannot work through severe thunderstorms, high winds, extreme high or low temperatures, flooding or an accumulation of snow. If you need the area cleaned before your next scheduled service, please call us and we will do our best to accommodate, but cannot guarantee it.
HOLIDAYS
Viking Scoops does not provide services on the following holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving or the Friday following Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day. If your pick up day falls on one of these days, we will pick up the following week as your regular schedule follows.
BILLING
Viking Scoops pre bills on the 1st of each month for reoccurring service, or after each scoop for One Time service. If 21 days have passed since your last scoop, a first time clean up fee will be applied. We will only pause service for a periods of 30 days. 15% late fee will be accrued after 2 weeks without payment. 25% late fee will be accrued after more than 2 weeks without payment. After 3 weeks service will be paused and a new customer fee will be charged. After 30 day without payment we will cancel your service and be banned from services for no less than 1 year.
Either party may terminate service (in writing) at any time.
LEAVES, DEBRIS, AND TALL GRASS
We will always do our best to clean your yard as thoroughly as we can. We understand that maintaining your yard is a lot of work and it may not always be in the best shape. The customer understands that it can be very difficult to find dog waste in tall grass or in a yard full of leaves or other debris. If your grass is tall when we arrive for service, there may be some dog waste that is missed. We will be back on our next scheduled visit and will get anything that was missed if your yard maintenance is completed. If you find an excessive amount of waste that we missed, please let us know as soon as possible.
SKIPPED OR CANCELED APPOINTMENTS
Any appointments that are canceled within 24 hours, or we are unable to gain access to your yard, will still be charged 100% of the service cost. We are not able to accommodate moving your scoop to the next week (if Biweekly), we will continue service on your next scheduled time. If you cancel your appointment, you will be charged an additional 50% fee for the additional waste to be removed on the next visit.
ADDITIONAL FEES
Fees and Promotions are subject to change at any time. In this rare circumstance, you will be notified at least two (2) weeks prior to any changes.
The following are items we charge extra for:
Come Back Request ($10 per visit)
Waiting – If you make us wait to preform your cleaning ($10 per visit)
PRIVACY POLICY
We may collect personal information from you on our sites or through any other digital or personal communications with you. Information collected by us is voluntarily provided by you. The information may include your name, email address, phone number, and physical address. Our sites may collect general information about the services you are requesting such as the type of property and area needing service, type and number of pets you have, and general information about your pet’s behavior. We collect information about you in order to provide you with our services. We use personal information about our users for a variety of purposes related to our business, your information is for Viking Scoops only. We never sell your information or send it to any third parties. We will provide user information to third parties or vendors for the purposes of, but not limited to, processing your payment or sending information to you, data tracking, maintenance or development of our systems. We also share your personal information in connection with law enforcement requests or in response to investigations, subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes to establish or exercise our legal rights to defend against legal claims or as otherwise required by law.
REVISIONS
Viking Scoops provides the above Services to you subject to the Terms, which may be amended from time to time without notice to you. Amendments will be effective upon our posting of such updated Terms to our website. We recommend you visit the Sites to review any changes in our practices. Your continued use of Services shall constitute acceptance to any changes to the Terms. Some of the provisions contained in the Terms of Service may also be superseded by provisions or notices published elsewhere on our site.
